Porcelain Veneers

One of the most popular treatment options we offer, porcelain veneers are thin sheaths of dental grade porcelain that attach to the front facing parts of teeth in order to conceal any number of smile flaws with one simple solution. Patients interested in concealing chips, cracks, gaps, and stains with porcelain veneers, should plan to visit our office at least two times. During the initial visit, we remove a small amount of the surface enamel of teeth. Then, digital bite impressions are captured. Our dental lab uses these impressions to design and craft custom veneers. Next, we place a temporary veneer to protect teeth and allow patients to get used to the look and feel of their veneer. Once the final restoration is received from the dental lab, patients return to our office to exchange their temporary for a custom porcelain veneer.

Metal-Free Restorations

We offer dental restorations like crowns and bridges using a variety of materials including gold, porcelain bonded to metal, and all-ceramic. While each of these materials has its own unique benefits, metal-free restorations may be the best solution for patients concerned with the cosmetic appearance of their smiles. Metal-free restorations are crafted from high quality ceramics specifically shaded to match the natural color of teeth. Even after years of wear, these restorations maintain their natural appearance. Additionally, all-ceramic restorations are the only material that will not affect those patients who have allergies and sensitivities to metal.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

Many patients interested in teeth whitening have already tried over the counter whitening products with little to no success. While these smile brightening toothpastes, strips, and gels promise dramatic results, most are unable to deliver more than a minimal change in appearance. Unlike these take-home whitening products, our professional smile brightening kits use a more advanced, professional-grade whitening gel combined with a custom crafted application tray. The stronger whitening agent is allowed to remain active longer because the fitted trays prevent the whitener from seeping out or being neutralized by saliva. In most cases, patients achieve results ten shades brighter in about two weeks of daily application.

In-Practice Teeth Whitening

Patients who wish to achieve dramatic teeth whitening results right away should consider in-practice teeth whitening. Additionally, many patients prefer in-practice whitening because the dentist applies the whitening agent and observes the entire process. In about an hour, our skilled dentist can brighten smiles up to ten shades. When you arrive in our office, we’ll take photos of your smile to determine the current shade of your teeth. Then, we’ll apply whitening gel at fifteen minute intervals. After each application, we reassess the tooth enamel color. In most cases, patients achieve the desired result after just two or three applications.

Gum Recontouring

This procedure is recommended for those patients whose smiles appear “gummy” or whose teeth look “stubby.” In these cases, the concern may be with the size or shape of the gum line rather than the shape or position of the teeth themselves. Gum recontouring allows our team to remove a small amount of gum tissue reshaping the gums to create a more natural looking smile line. We may also recommend gum recontouring preceding the placement of a dental crown, bridge, or other restoration as this reveals healthy tooth structure to support a restoration.

Direct Bonding

Using the same composite resin that restores decay in a tooth colored filling, we can quickly and comfortably conceal and correct dental chips, cracks, stains, and gaps with dental bonding. For many patients interested in porcelain veneers, bonding provides a more affordable, one visit solution. We simply apply the putty-like resin to the cosmetic flaws, shape the material to fill in cracks and gaps or conceal stains, and use a curing light to harden the material in place.
